Hearing aid prices, and how to alleviate the costs
Hearing aids can be expensive. With prices ranging from under $1000.00 to over $6000.00, you’re not just paying for the devices. Since many clinics create bundle purchases(not all), these numbers may also include the cost of routine professional consultations, necessary customizations(fitting, sound adjustment, etc.), which are all important in making hearing concerns an afterthought.
These prices leave hearing aids out of reach for many families and individuals, and can prevent those with hearing loss from receiving the care they need. Nowadays, many insurance companies will support much of these costs, yet not all. Furthermore, the cost of testing even after the support of insurance often still costs between $50-$90. If insurance won’t pay enough of the costs, or you lack any coverage, there is still hope for financial aid or support from other organizations.
